October Pause

There is a post waiting to be published but my world has gone sideways with the hospitalization of my 82 year old father 6 weeks ago…he was admitted with a very serious infection that started a cascade of life-threatening illnesses that have resulted in a frantic visit to the hospital to learn that he is now moving from the medical intervention/monitoring model to palliative care.

There are no words to share at the moment…it’s time to take a pause from blogging to be by his side if I’m able and to ensure that he makes his way through this transition peacefully.

    Pending loss it difficult but soon Dad’s suffering will be over, sorry 😦
    These nasty infections the hospitals give us are the pits, I pray everyday that they will get properly cleaned so that admission wont mean possible death for every patient who walks in the door ….
    My thought and prays are with you at this time …

    An 82 year being sick and admitted in the hospital is no joke….much more if he is your father…rest assured that my thoughts and prayers are with you…

    I’m so sorry to hear about your father. Death is inevitable for all of us, but never less than tragic all the same. May it be as easy a transition as possible for him. I hope you’re holding up well yourself.

      Dad passed away peacefully on October 1st…in between the busyness of closing a life well-lived, I am making time to enjoy the beauty of autumn and sip on hot chocolate…moments made for reflection.
