About

During these unusual times, I find myself posting monthly rather than the weekly challenge I set for myself when I started blogging in 2014. Words are often elusive and hard to capture…

I still write and jot down notes at the edge of a growing glass city, nestled by lush rainforest and surrounded by forested mountains with the cobalt blue Pacific Ocean just minutes away.

What hasn’t faltered is sharing a cup of creamy hot chocolate with a friend during cooler months or savouring a biscotti gelato on spring and summer wanders that often inspire these posts.

Thank you for stopping by and becoming part of the journey – Kimberlee

    • Thank you for capturing a quiet moment-it was fun to head down to Coal Harbour to try to wave goodbye to my father as his ship got ready to sail to Hawaii! We never saw him but our thoughts were with him on that cloudy day in early Spring 2012.

Hi Kimberlee, I am answering the questions that I asked earlier this week. I am curious how you pronounce the name of your blog. I want to make sure I get it correct in the video. Is it A-Note-To-Hug-Uette? Sorry if this is a silly question. LOL

    Hi Kim,
Nice to meet you here via James Radcliffe.com. Thank you for your ‘like’ on one of my comments on james’s Site. I live in north west England, u.k.
I have been blogging since end 2017 and my blog is evolving. This is the first time I have ‘gone into’ a gravatar website link. I would like to further develop my blog into a website when I get the time.

Thank you for stopping by, I’ve been reading James’s beautifully written prose since 2014…if all goes well, I’ll be visiting the UK (London) for the first time this winter. Meanwhile, I get to visit your lovely part of the world via Escape To The Country and Grand Designs!

Hi Kim! How are you? I hope you’re doing well and that you and your family are safe in our global clusterf*ck of COVID + Climate Change lol. I wanted to reach out to you directly, but couldn’t find an email address on your blog so I’m posting here instead!

I logged into my blog for the first time in ages and read your comment on my poem, Bridge, where you mentioned re-reading the Harry Potter books, thinking of me, and wondering where I am now with my publishing dreams. I was so touched that I came to your mind and so grateful to have crossed paths with you here on WordPress!

To answer your question: I am indeed self-publishing! My book, Glowstick, will be published on Aug. 29, 2021. (Eeep!) The Ebook version is available now for pre-order ~> https://www.amazon.com/Glowstick-Jade-M-Wong-ebook/dp/B09BKNW53G/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=glowstick+Jade+M.+Wong&qid=1628789967&sr=8-2. Amazon doesn’t offer pre-orders for paperbacks so the paperback will be available when the book is published on the 29th.

Regardless of whether you buy a copy of my book or not (because I understand with COVID, your financial situation may be unstable and there is absolutely no pressure), I just want to say thank you for all your support over the years here on WordPress. Thank you for reading my poetry, for leaving such kind and encouraging comments, and most importantly, for being a Harry Potter fan (haha!) Your presence and virtual friendship here on WordPress has meant so much to me. So, thank you 💜.

If you prefer to respond off-blog, you can email me at jademeiwong@gmail.com. Sending joy your way ~

    -Jade
